Pasadena Community Foundation Funds

Al and Rose Marie Lowe Endowment

Al & Rose Marie Lowe

Al and Rose Marie had strong ties and fond memories of Pasadena where they raised their family, ran their business, and were very much involved in the community for more than 30 years. Al served on the Pasadena Community Foundation Board for 10 of those years, from 1985-1995, including two years as chair. His other involvements included volunteering with the Tournament of Roses, serving as president of the Board of Education, Rotary Club of Pasadena, and numerous other civic organizations. Al passed away in 2018, survived by Rose Marie and their children and grandchildren. This unrestricted endowment will stand as a legacy for Al’s work with PCF and in the community, supporting PCF’s unrestricted grantmaking in perpetuity.

THE POWER OF ENDOWMENT
Endowments are the cornerstone of PCF’s mission to build hometown legacies. The corpus of each endowed fund is invested with PCF’s portfolio for long-term growth. Each year, the endowments generate the funds that support PCF’s local grantmaking, which enriches the arts community, protects our environment, provides health care and critical social services, and bolsters public education in Pasadena. Endowments are permanent legacies for our community; these funds will continue to grow and provide philanthropic support forever. Learn more about creating an endowment at PCF.
