Clifford Swan Investment Counselors Endowment for Education

In 2015, Clifford Swan Investment Counselors celebrated its 100th anniversary. To mark this milestone, the firm invested in the future of Pasadena by creating a named endowment for education at Pasadena Community Foundation. The Clifford Swan Investment Counselors Endowment supports PCF’s grantmaking in the area of education. This is a Fund for Pasadena, which benefits local organizations working to sustain and uplift our community.

The Clifford Swan Investment Counselors Endowment for Education was created as part of Pasadena Community Foundation’s “Be 1 in 100” Endowment Builders campaign, and was the Foundation’s first corporate endowment.

“Given our shared deep roots in Pasadena and values regarding the uplifting power of education, it was a natural fit for Clifford Swan to partner with Pasadena Community Foundation in support of our community,” says CEO Peter Boyce. “When we established our Endowment for Education in 2015, we did so with absolute confidence in the Foundation’s experience and community awareness to effectively direct financial resources to support local programs that are making an impact for Pasadena’s youth. Clifford Swan is proud to support this work.”

The Power of Endowment
Endowments are the cornerstone of PCF’s mission to build hometown legacies. The corpus of each endowed fund is invested with PCF’s portfolio for long-term growth. Each year, the endowments generate the funds that support PCF’s local grantmaking, which enriches the arts community, protects our environment, provides health care and critical social services, and bolsters public education in Pasadena. Endowments are permanent legacies for our community; these funds will continue to grow and provide philanthropic support forever. Learn more about creating an endowment at PCF.
