Gloria and Donald Pitzer established the Pitzer Family Endowment because they liked the idea of building a legacy in their hometown. Raised in Pasadena, Gloria decided to become a lawyer while in the 8th grade at McKinley Junior High. Somewhere along the way, she managed to meet a local boy named Don, an engineer. As an estate planning attorney and past member of the Board of PCF, Gloria had long been familiar with the work of the Foundation. This unrestricted endowment, established in 2004, supports local PCF’s grant-making programs.
