Legacy Luncheon Honors Donors Who Fuel PCF’s Mission

PCF President & CEO Jennifer DeVoll with guest presenter Sherry Dewane at the 2023 Legacy Luncheon.

Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) hosted its annual Legacy Luncheon on Wednesday, April 26 to honor the donors who fuel PCF’s mission, as well as local professional advisors who have played a vital role in PCF’s growth and sustainability over the decades. It was a full house, with more than 100 guests in attendance.

PCF Board Member, Endowment Builder, and Legacy Society Member Gloria Pitzer with Ray Ealy and Charmayne Mills Ealy, PCF Legacy Society Members.

In 2022, PCF awarded $2.2 million to 116 Pasadena-area nonprofit agencies. The Foundation’s robust grantmaking is made possible by its Endowment Builders & Legacy Society Members, donors who create permanent support for causes and organizations they care about in the greater Pasadena area and beyond. PCF’s assets currently stand at $140 million, and of that total, $100 million is permanently endowed, serving as perpetual support for the foundation’s current and future grantmaking.

Program Highlights

The event was sponsored by Gregory, Filias, Bucshalter, etc.; Hall Capital; Hahn & Hahn; and IDS Real Estate. She leveraged her 25 years’ experience in financial services to present “Fraud, Forgery and Other Funny Business,” an illuminating talk about protecting your assets from nefarious actors.

PCF Board Member Les Stocker shared why he and his wife Pamela created the Rachel Lisa Stocker Endowment in honor of their daughter. The program also included a video that showcased the power of endowments in creating “A Legacy for Seniors.” Watch video on YouTube.
