Local Heroes Breakfast

Pasadena Community Foundation Annual Local Heroes Breakfast

On Thursday, November 14, Pasadena’s community leaders joined PCF’s donors and friends at the annual Local Heroes breakfast, honoring the nonprofit organizations that received grants from the Foundation in 2019. PCF was honored to host Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek, Vice Mayor Tyron Hampton, City Councilmember Victor Gordo and his representative Vannia De La Cuba, Noreen O’Sullivan representing Councilmember Gene Masuda, Pasadena’s Director of Public Health Dr. Ying-Ying Goh, and from the Pasadena Housing Department, Director Bill Huang. We were also proud to welcome Teresa Lamb-Simpson, who attended on behalf of Representative Adam Schiff, and Dominick Corey, representing State Senator Anthony Portantino.

During the program, PCF’s staff and Board members celebrated the local agencies that support education, youth services, arts & culture, environmental action, health, special populations, homeless services and affordable housing, and economic development. It is through our grantees that PCF realizes its mission to improve and enrich the lives of people in the greater Pasadena area, and we are proud to shine a spotlight on these outstanding programs and organizations.
