Meeting Needs Unforeseen: PCF Response to the Pandemic

In March, 2020, with Pasadena’s first case of COVID-19, Pasadena Community Foundation acted quickly and strategically on the key tenet of its mission: Addressing current needs unmet, and future needs unforeseen, in Pasadena.

President and CEO Jennifer DeVoll remembers that “we realized the most vulnerable in our community would be impacted most disproportionately and it was crucial to respond quickly. We had to reconsider PCF’s standard grant-making processes and approach.”

2020 was an extraordinary year and an even more amazing example of the power of community response. “Meeting Needs Unforeseen: PCF Response to the Pandemic” highlights the beneficiaries of PCF’s COVID-19 response. PCF directed $2.6 million in grants to organizations on the frontlines of the pandemic and to provide relief and support for our local community.
