Friends & Fellows Fund

Side by side with our donors, Pasadena Community Foundation strengthens Pasadena-area nonprofits with grant funding.

Each year, Pasadena area nonprofit organizations budget carefully to meet the needs of their clients. Sometimes their budgets fall short, and that’s where Pasadena Community Foundation steps in. Our funding allows nonprofit organizations to focus on what they do best – ensuring healthy, vibrant lives for our community’s residents. Your Here for Good gift to the Friends & Fellows Fund makes this possible.

By the end of 2023, PCF will have awarded over $2 million to more than 100 local nonprofits and $200,000 in scholarships throughout the greater Pasadena area.

Here are just three examples of PCF’s grantmaking impact this year:

African American Parent Council

. . . expanded its Math Power Hour to two PUSD campuses to help 100 additional young Black students strengthen their math skills. One of 12 2023 Education Grantees, totaling $217,000 in funding.

Pasadena Meals on Wheels

. . . strengthened its nutrition and social services for older adults. One of seven 2023 Senior Grantees, totaling $60,000 in funding.

Arts & Culture Grant Program

. . . PCF launched its Arts & Culture Grant Program and awarded grants totaling $335,000 to 18 local arts organizations to help them reimagine/rebuild their post-pandemic missions.
