Pasadena Child Health Foundation Grants Announced

A group of elementary school-age kids, all wearing yellow shirts and black pants, work together with long black hoses while inside a school gymnasium. They are laughing and working together as teams. The Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena received a Pasadena Child Health Foundation Grant for its Triple Play Plus program, which supports members in being active and healthy. Here, members enjoy a skill-building clinic hosted by the Lakers Youth Foundation.

Pasadena Community Foundation is proud to announce this year’s 12 recipient organizations for Pasadena Child Health Foundation (PCHF) grant awards which total $245,000. PCHF is a fund of the Pasadena Community Foundation and provides funding to reduce disparities that adversely impact the health of children residing in the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) attendance area.

PCHF focuses its funding in three priority areas: Healthy Early Childhood Development, Family and Community Connections, and Healthy Body and Sound Minds. The 12 selected organizations were chosen for their deep commitment to children’s health and well-being in one of these priority areas.

Elizabeth House received a PCHF grant for its Perinatal Prevention and Early Intervention for Children program.

Some of the 2024 PCHF-funded programs include the Perinatal Prevention and Early Intervention for Children at Elizabeth House; the Youth in Foster Care Initiative at Planned Parenthood Pasadena & SGV; the Maternal, Child, & Adolescent Health Program at the Pasadena Public Health Department; and the Water Safety Program for all PUSD third-graders at Rose Bowl Aquatics Center.

PCF salutes our nonprofit partners that are doing meaningful work to keep our local kids healthy, nurtured, safe, and thriving.
