Each year, PCF honors its Endowment Builders and Legacy Society Members at our Legacy Luncheon. At this year’s event, PCF Board Vice Chair Judy Gain presented a special grant to Pasadena Heritage in honor of recently passed Board Member Michael Schenickert. Pasadena Heritage works to protect and preserve Pasadena’s historic buildings, sites and districts, and will use the funds to help continue this mission. Judy said about Michael: “One of the first commitments Michael made after moving to Pasadena was to join the Board of Pasadena Heritage. Neck deep in his own restoration project, he respected their work to preserve and protect the lovely architecture and iconic landmarks of our city.” Michael and his wife Karen’s home was designed by Alfred and Arthur Heineman, and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
After Michael termed off of the Pasadena Heritage Board, he joined the board of PCF, serving as Chair of the Finance Committee. Pasadena Community Foundation is very pleased to be able to honor Michael in this way. Click here for more information on Pasadena Heritage.
