Remembering Jacque with a Hike and an Endowment

On Friday, February 26, 2021, a group of friends gathered for a commemorative hike to honor the life of someone very special to them: Jacque Foreman Conroy, who passed away on the same date in 2020. Jacque was an exceptionally dedicated volunteer, both with the Christmas Tree Lane Association and especially with the Altadena Rotary Club. She brought her creative talents and her unflagging energy to both organizations for more than two decades.

Her husband, Bruce Conroy, was joined by friends for a hike to Jacque’s favorite bench in the hills near her Altadena home. Once there, the group shared memories of Jacque and the generous and nurturing life she led.

In 2020, Altadena Rotary members helped Bruce create the Jacque Foreman Conroy Endowment to support a scholarship in Jacque’s name, offered each year by the Rotary to a student at Pasadena City College studying graphic design, communication arts, or photography, Jacque’s lifelong creative passions.
