Technology makes the business world go, and non-profits are no exception to this. State-of-the-art equipment makes it easier for agencies to run the programs that support our community. For Young & Healthy this means making sure that their mission – to help provide uninsured and under-served children and families in Pasadena with high-quality health care – is not compromised by outdated technology.
In 2015, Young & Healthy applied to PCF’s Capital Grants program to fund a new copier, printers, and a laptop among other items and upgrades. The Capital Grant program is designed to help provide this kind of tangible support to local non-profits. In this case, the PCF Board voted to give Young & Healthy a $24,596 grant to help. Director of Development Jan Cantwell told PCF:
“We are thrilled with our new office equipment. The technology upgrades have increased our productivity, and we’ve been able to print many of our materials in-house which has been a great cost savings. Young & Healthy is most grateful to the Pasadena Community Foundation for their generosity.”
PCF is proud to support organizations like Young & Healthy in this way!
