Fund Profile

Elizabeth Lent Endowment

The Elizabeth Lent Endowment was created through a bequest from Elizabeth “Libby” Lent, who supported PCF during her lifetime and included the Foundation in her estate plan. Her fund now provides ongoing support for PCF’s local grantmaking and honors her decades-long connection to Pasadena.

OVERVIEW

About the Fund

In 2003, Libby Lent wrote a letter Pasadena Community Foundation’s then-new Executive Director, Jennifer DeVoll. Libby had enclosed a check and thanked Jennifer for the opportunity to become a Fellow. She went on to say that PCF was “mentioned in her estate plan.” Ten years later, in 2013, Libby passed away at the age of 99. Her bequest to PCF has become the Elizabeth Lent Endowment, which will contribute to PCF’s local grants, creating a legacy for the place Libby called home for over 50 years.
