The Truman’s Touch Endowment honors the memory of June Truman and was established by her daughter Judith Truman Houg and granddaughter Chanel Burneo.
June Truman was a single mom who raised five children. After years of working for others in the accounting and human resources fields, Truman realized her dream of opening her own business when she founded the Truman Employment Agency in 1978 in San Gabriel. She worked tirelessly to provide job guidance for people in need in the San Gabriel Valley, coaching them on writing resumes and interview skills. On occasion, June would hire people with limited experience for a few weeks to work at the agency to help them add to their resume. “Mom managed to touch the lives of so many people with the same amazing strength and grace with which she did everything in life,” remembers her daughter Judith.
