Kim Ebner grew up in a small town in Central California. It was a special place to her – she loved its strong cooperative spirit. After completing her training as an oral surgeon, she moved to Pasadena in 1986 to set up her business. She immediately fell in love with her new home. “Pasadena has the same feel as the town where I grew up. It’s a much larger city, but manages to have an incredibly strong sense of community.”
One of the things Kim loves most about Pasadena is the philanthropic attitude of so many people who truly want to help those in need, and she decided she wanted to do more to help too. In 2016, as part of PCF’s “Be 1 in 100” Endowment Campaign, she decided to set up an unrestricted endowment. “There are so many wonderful nonprofits, and the team at PCF does a great job deciding which organizations to support each year. They are the experts, and I trust them to best allocate funds from the endowment I established.”
