FUND PROFILE

Al & Rose Marie Lowe Endowment

The Al & Rose Marie Lowe Endowment is an unrestricted fund that supports PCF’s local grantmaking and honors the Lowes’ decades of service and connection to the Pasadena community. Established as a legacy to Al’s leadership on the PCF board and civic involvement, the fund ensures ongoing support for causes he cared about.

OVERVIEW

About the Fund

Al and Rose Marie had strong ties and fond memories of Pasadena where they raised their family, ran their business, and were very much involved in the community for more than 30 years. Al served on the Pasadena Community Foundation Board for 10 of those years, from 1985-1995, including two years as chair. His other involvements included volunteering with the Tournament of Roses, serving as president of the Board of Education, Rotary Club of Pasadena, and numerous other civic organizations.

Al passed away in 2018, and Rose Marie passed away in 2025.  They are survived by their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. This unrestricted endowment will stand as a legacy for Al’s work with PCF and in the community, supporting PCF’s unrestricted grantmaking in perpetuity.
