Impact Areas

Community & Economic Development

We help foster a healthy and thriving community by directing funding to affordable housing development, disaster relief, workforce training for individuals, and public libraries.

Funding priority

Affordable Housing

Launched in 2019, our Affordable Housing Initiative awards high-impact grants for projects that add much-needed shelter and beds, permanent supportive housing, and affordable home ownership in the Pasadena area. Project partners have included Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, and Heritage Housing Partners.

Funding priority

Disaster Relief

Thanks to flexible, endowed resources, PCF is able to pivot funding quickly in emergencies. We have supported our community through two recent disasters: The Eaton Fire and the Covid-19 pandemic.

Funding priority

Public Libraries

Through endowment funds and agency funds, we have long supported public libraries in the Greater Pasadena area as vital resource centers, gathering spaces for the public, and historical landmarks.
