One of Jennifer DeVoll’s enduring legacies is her foresight in recognizing the power of endowments to provide consistent, long-term support to the community. During her 22-year tenure as the President & CEO of Pasadena Community Foundation, she grew PCF’s Endowment Builder program to an impressive 185 named funds—a testament to her commitment to sustainability and impact.
In honor of Jennifer’s extraordinary leadership, the PCF Board established the Generous Hearts Endowment in early 2025 to provide unrestricted support for PCF’s local grantmaking. It is only fitting that this endowment becomes one of the many legacies Jennifer leaves behind.
PCF is deeply grateful to former PCF board member and longtime PCF supporter Wendy Munger and her husband, Leonard Gumport, who generously contributed $2 million to the Generous Hearts Endowment. The Munger-Gumport family’s remarkable generosity and steadfast support exemplify the spirit of community that Jennifer has championed throughout her years at PCF.
