FUND PROFILE

Pitzer Family Endowment

The Pitzer Family Endowment is an unrestricted fund that supports PCF’s local grantmaking and reflects Gloria and Donald Pitzer’s desire to build a lasting legacy in their hometown. Established in 2004, the fund honors Gloria’s lifelong connection to Pasadena and her deep appreciation for the Foundation’s mission.

OVERVIEW

About the Fund

Gloria and Donald Pitzer established the Pitzer Family Endowment because they liked the idea of building a legacy in their hometown. Raised in Pasadena, Gloria decided to become a lawyer while in the 8th grade at McKinley Junior High. Somewhere along the way, she managed to meet a local boy named Don, an engineer. As an estate planning attorney and past member of the Board of PCF, Gloria had long been familiar with the work of the Foundation. This unrestricted endowment, established in 2004, supports local PCF’s grantmaking programs.
