FUND PROFILE

Tyson & Hagopian Family Endowment

The Tyson and Hagopian Family Endowment is a PCF Endowment Builder fund that provides unrestricted support for PCF’s local grantmaking programs in the Pasadena area. Inspired by her parents’ commitment to serving underserved communities, Michelle Tyson established the fund to ensure lasting local impact.

OVERVIEW

About the Fund

When Dr. and Mrs. Bernard O. Tyson moved to Pasadena, they opened an OB/GYN medical clinic to serve lower-income patients. Their four children—three doctors and one veterinarian —are all raising their own families in the area. Motivated by her parents’ dedication to helping underserved communities, daughter Michelle Tyson established the Tyson and Hagopian Family Endowment with the Pasadena Community Foundation to provide unrestricted funds for PCF’s local grantmaking.

“Growing up in Pasadena, my siblings and I learned from our parents the importance of community and a mindfulness of the less fortunate. I know my funds will stay right here in the area, and have a measurable impact for decades to come.”
