The Nancy Nash Beckham Endowment supports Pasadena Community Foundation’s grantmaking in the area of human services, specifically food insecurity. This is a Fund for Pasadena, which will benefit local organizations working to sustain and uplift our community.
Nancy Nash Beckham was proud to be known as the “cookie lady” for 12 years at All Saints Church in Pasadena. Beginning in 1992, she and her daughter, Barbara Beckham, took over leadership of the Hunger Ministry at the Church, which raises money by offering baked goods for donations every Sunday. When Nancy Beckham passed away in March, 2007, Barbara and her sister, Patti Healy, wanted to pay tribute to their mother by continuing her legacy of ministering to the hungry. They created the Nancy Nash Beckham Fund for Hunger at the Pasadena Community Foundation to make grants to Pasadena nonprofit organizations that provide food and shelter to the hungry and homeless, or to those working to rebuild their lives.
