This donor advised fund supports the Aydin Salek Leadership Scholarship Endowment.
In 2010, Hamid and Azita Salek wanted to honor the memory of their son, who had recently passed away, and to keep alive his spirit of community participation and scholastic dedication. They established a scholarship endowment in his name with the Pasadena Community Foundation. Aydin was a student at South Pasadena High School, and the scholarship fund supports student leaders and/or high-achieving students of Iranian descent who have demonstrated a special interest and dedication to improving Iranian-American affairs.
In establishing the scholarship in Aydin’s honor, his parents know that Aydin’s impact on his community will continue to live through this legacy to other students who share Aydin’s academic achievements and leadership qualities.
