Pasadena Community Foundation Capital Grants Program Awards $659,000 to 29 Local Nonprofits
2021 program includes three “transformational” Capital Campaign Awards
October 20, 2021
Pasadena Community Foundation announces the recipients of its 2021 Capital Grants Program, which totals an impressive $659,000 awarded to 29 local nonprofit organizations.
This year, as part of the Capital Grant Program, PCF was especially proud to include three larger Capital Campaign Grants of $50,000 each, created to support large-scale, transformational projects that will impact capacity, quality, and effectiveness of mission delivery. Three organizations received the special Capital Campaign Grants: Door of Hope, Pasadena Heritage, and Villa Esperanza Services.
PCF’s annual Capital Grant Program supports the infrastructure that nonprofit organizations need to carry out their mission, including equipment purchases, construction, and renovation. Projects funded by the 2021 Capital Grants include a visitor kiosk at Arlington Garden, schoolyard shade structure at the Frostig Center for Educational Therapy, new dental chairs at the Fair Oaks Community Health Alliance of Pasadena (CHAP), equipment for Parson’s Nose “Radio Theater Live,” enhanced emergency response technology for vulnerable seniors at Rosewood Court, and new equipment for enhanced shared use at the Pasadena Bioscience Collaborative. See the complete list of Capital Grantees on second page.
