PCF Friends & Fellows Make an Impact for Good

Here for Good 2022 Friends & Fellows Campaign

As 2022 draws to a close, Pasadena Community Foundation celebrates 69 years of grantmaking impact – that’s seven decades of unwavering support in the greater Pasadena area. PCF’s Friends and Fellows donors are a critical component of our good work and longevity.

For local nonprofit organizations, 2022 was one of determination, adaptation, and resilience following more than two years of pandemic challenges. This year, in partnership with its generous community, PCF supported more than 70 local nonprofits and 75 individual scholars with $1.6 million in grant and scholarship awards.

This year, thanks to help from our Friends & Fellows, PCF . . .

Launched the Petersen Scholars Program to provide support for 28 transition age foster youth pursuing educational opportunities.
Awarded $200,000 in Affordable Housing Initiative funds to Heritage Housing Partners and the City of Pasadena to rehab a property for six unhoused PCC students.
Bolstered support services for elderly individuals at six local organizations with $64,000 in Senior Grants.
Expanded Pasadena’s urban canopy with funding for 25 new cherry trees in Victory Park, planted by Pasadena Beautiful Foundation.
Ensured local students continue to receive high-quality arts education through the Rowe & Gayle Giesen Trust, a PCF endowment.
Protected local monarch and bird populations by funding projects at Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy and Pasadena Audubon Society.
